Voltage Stability Analysis of Large Scale PV Plant Reactive Power Control Methods

The increasing integration of photovoltaic (PV) plants in conventional power systems has led to the need examine effects these on system dynamics. In this study, a well-known IEEE-9 bus is modified by integrating PV plant DigSilent Powerfactory environment. Then, 3 transient cases are tested using control units designed Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC). effect load and line disconnections 3-phase short circuit fault investigated as case-I, case-II, case-III, respectively. all cases, two sub-cases considered according location. As result, comparison reactive methods (RPCM) analyzed terms voltage stability cases.
